[michael]

Again he had vanished, leaving the angel to frantically search through the streets of a place once thriving with human life. Hevanna. A city he had once sworn to safe. Until he fell in love. Now he knew nothing of love. Only obsession and possession and the demon he was obsessive over had once again left his side.

Michael wondered faintly why? He was loyal and faithful to Jack. He didn't even look lesser demons in the eye. Not even the Horseman were awarded that courtesy. Only Hiro and Azazeal were awarded a glance into the bright blue eyes of the once glorified Angel of God.

Michael moved his hand to his hard clasping it in pain. Where was Jack? It hurt when he was away from his master. He was aimless and lost. Michael's black shoes clicked against the wet pavement. It was raining, both from the heavens and in his heart. He could just shimmer back to the order but there was this masochistic thing inside him that enjoyed suffering. Suffering and hardship and this was getting harder.

Lightning and thunder flashed across the brooding sky brushing white in the angel's eyes. His black feather ruffled and puffed against his back. He never felt the cold anymore. Maybe because he was cold straight through. He never cared for the heat either. It was like eating or drinking. Or even breathing. Unnecesary for him. The angel drifted along the streets and into a big open parking space.

"Michael, What do you think?"

Michael took in a sharp breath out of habit lifting his head in the direction of what was once a mall.
"Who is there!"
He demanded. Though his voice was soft it carried authority. The thunder roared up above and the angel lifted his head to it blinking into the raindrops that fell down on his face like soft kisses.

"Michael, would you like to try on a suit too?"

Again the voice made Michael turn his head to the mall. Slowly he started towards it his hand reaching back automatically to pluck a few feathers from his wings and scatter them into the puddles of rain. They only grew back again. Michael didn't know why he even tried to get rid of them. Damned black feathers were everywhere now. It was annoying.

"Michael whats wrong? You can tell me anything you know..."

"How do you know my name!"
Michael lifted his head up to the ceiling of the dark mall as he walked through it turning around slowly. The echo and the voice was stronger in here. Who was it? He recongnized it. Maybe one of the demons playing tricks on him? He'd show them trick when he tore them to bits and tossed them on an open fire.

"I'm yours... I'll do anything for you..."

Michael stopped and gritted his teeth then moved his hands to cover his ears.
"Come out NOW!!!"
He roared out spreading his blackened wings out beside his form. Then he caught a movement in the dark and his hand tighted around the hilt of a sword forming from thin air. It gleamed in the flash of lightning that ran through the building to revealed the hidden shadow behind a pillar a few steps away from Michael.
"Were you making the voice? I want it to stop..."

“Sage, where are you going?”

Sage turned his head to Jasmine, the 7 year-old girl he had been taking care of for a little over 5 years now. He sighed at the girl’s concern for him. She always got so worried whenever he needed to leave the mansion. Even if he went out and was found by demons, they could not kill him. Azazeal’s curse would make sure of that. Perhaps she was only worried of losing him to the same fate as her parents. His green eyes soon drifted to the window revealing the grey and dark world outside. The rain was pouring from the horrible storm out today. Sage spoke as he put on his cloak.

“I’m going to look for food. I won’t be long.”

Sage did not necessarily need the food since he could not die. He only really ate whenever the pain in his stomach became unbearable. After all, he could still feel pain. Though he could heal in a matter of 30 seconds for every wound, hunger was not something that could be healed by anything other than food. His real reason for food scavenging was for the other members of the resistance. Sage could more easily obtain food with his mortality rate. Though he had no interest in living, he didn’t want the others to die; especially not Jasmine. Seven years of life was simply too early to be ended.

“…But it’s raining outside…you might catch a cold…”

Sage sighed again from her concern before kneeling down to the young girl and holding her tiny hands as he spoke.

“I’ll be fine. I promise. Just be here waiting for me when I come back, okay?”

Jasmine smiled brightly and nodded in understanding. The young man gave a small smile back in response, though it was so faint that it could hardly be seen. There was not much to smile about nowadays. Before Sage left the mansion, he gave the girl a quick kiss to the forehead and made his way towards what used to be the mall. Food could be found in doses here. However, everything there needed to be taken with great care. Demons lingered all over Hevanna now, and if one were to spot a human, mutant, or whatever other being still lived…they’d be well…killed. Even though Sage did not need to worry about death, he still did not want to be caught by a demon. He could still experience unpleasant things that he would rather not deal with anytime soon. Dominic had been bad enough. The ‘D’ shaped mark on his back almost seemed to burn slightly from the memory.

Sage bit his lip as he approached what used to be the mall. He hated coming here. Every time he did, painful memories of Michael would arise. He would remember that special time they shared at the mall and everything else they did together.

"I'd like to spend the rest of your life with you. You do realize that don't you?"

Sage wondered if it was all right for him to cry here. The rain was pouring hard enough that probably no one would ever notice how painful it was for him to come here every time. However, he fought off the tears. He would not give in to this sadness. As he entered the dark mall, a streak of lightning flashed through the sky, causing him to jump slightly in response. Why on earth was he so jumpy? He had a strange feeling that something was going to happen here. The thought of something happening gave him chills. No incident was a good one in this new Hevanna…if it was even called Hevanna anymore. He clung to the feather that hung around his neck. This feather was the only thing that Michael left behind when he fell. Sage had had it mounted so he could always have a piece of the angel with him. However, the feather always brought him painful memories. Perhaps that was his slight masochistic side.

"You are so beautiful...Do you know that? You are beautiful to me."

Sage held his feather even tighter at the remembrance of his angel’s gentle smile. Quickly, he shook off the pain and began to search what he had come for. As he searched, he came across some canned foods. This was an excellent find. Canned foods could be stored for a long time and would help if there were days they could not come back here. The young man pulled out his carrying bag and began to stuff in as many cans as he could manage. Now that he had gotten what he came for, he zipped up the bag and prepared to leave. He had nearly left the building before he heard the yells echoing from within the mall. Someone was here?

In curiosity, Sage wandered throughout the mall towards the source of the voice. Normally, he could care less and would get out and back home as soon as possible. But this voice…it sounded so familiar. He felt almost hypnotized as he was drawn towards the echo. His feet stepped foot into the room where the yelling was loudest, and he hid behind one of the pillars that held the building up as he searched for the source. The source seemed to be aware of his presence…or at least he was insane and thought someone was there. Sage did his best to stay hidden well in the shadows, but he was betrayed by the flash of the lightning. His breathing stopped for a moment as the being gazed in his direction. Immediate panic came into his system as he saw the black feathered wings. This was a demon, and it was now aware of his presence. Sage made a quick dash for the exit, but tripped over a stray piece of rubble and fell loudly to the ground. He sat up and held his ankle in pain. He had sprained it. Sage knew that this could heal in 30 seconds, but that was more than enough time for a demon to get to him. The boy cursed to himself in frustration.

“Shit!”

He looked to the demon with a look that held both a mix of fear and bravery in his dark green eyes. However, his gaze immediately softened to that of complete shock and awe when he realized who the person was. His words were stuttered out almost breathlessly.

“…Michael...”

Michael watched as the figure of a boy dashed across the floor of the mall towards the exit turning slowly. A dark smirk spread across his lips as in his hand he formed the sword of light now overshadowed and drenched in darkness just like its master. He tilted his head and awaited the right moment to strike and attack but the boy tripped before he could jump into the air to launch his attack. He yearned for blood. He yearned for tears and screams of pain. Agony, Fear. Jack had taught him how incredibly pleasurable this could be. How immensely satisfying.

Now that he was all alone with a victim and without his Jack to distract him he needed that feeling more desprately then he could have imagined possible. Michaeal watched as the male hit the floor hard then started towards him slowly. His strides were that of a hunter, a killer. It shadowed his eyes and darkened his features. Michael watched as the boy turned to grip at his ankle his face now becoming emotionless as he advanced on Sage. The curse rang through the building.

It was the voice that was haunting him. He recognized it instantly. He would kill this voice. This voice that pretended to be his lover. This voice that haunted him and angered him. His blue eyes locked on green. Bravery? He would soon fix that. Maybe replace it with the emptiness of death? He hadn't decided quite yet. But it was a mixture of fear and death. Maybe the one and then the other. He'd see how...

Suddenly the boy spoke his name and Michael came to a stop infront of the green eyed individual glaring down at him. How did he knew his name? Michael knew that he was not a demon. He wasn't anyone Michael recognized. Maybe one of Jack's friends? The thought of Jack having friends made Michael sneer in anger. Jealousy made its way through Michael's veins darkening his eyes to a deep anger.

He lifted the shadowed sword above Sage.
"He is MINE. You CANNOT have him!"
Michael growled down at Sage then brought the sword down eager to cleft open the enemy's head. The competition for Jack's affections. Jack's attention. It was all he lived for now a days.

This couldn’t be possible. How could Michael be right here in front of him? It had been so long since he last saw him. He could feel the hole in his heart fill slightly from just the sight of his lost love. However, his heart sank when he saw the cold look in the blue eyes that were once filled with kindness. The way he approached him was like that of the other demons. He approached with the same bloodthirsty look, and he seemed to wish for his pain and suffering. Sage was frozen. No…Michael was one of them now?

His mind flew into a panic upon the sight of the blade above his head. This just couldn’t be happening. It just couldn’t. His eyes tightly shut from the pain of all the memories and what everything had turned into. His sweet, sweet Michael…turned into a bloodthirsty, pain seeking demon? Sage was surprised to see the former angel halt for a moment after having spoken his name. Though his relief turned into fear as Michael’s eyes suddenly shone of anger towards him. Sage watched with wide green eyes as the sword was lifted above again and Michael roared in anger about a ‘he’. Who was ‘he’? A gasp escaped his lips as the sword came tumbling down.

Sage’s eyes became serious and he immediately made his move to dodge the attack. He was not going to hesitate anymore. The Sage who hesitated in the past was gone now. With a swift movement, the young man pushed himself off of the ground and landed a few feet away from where the sword would have impacted. He landed on one leg as to not injure his healing ankle further and attempted to maintain his balance. The traits of his vampire blood certainly helped with things such as this. He was not perfect at using these skills, but they at least came in handy during situations like these.

Emerald eyes rose up from the ground and could be seen shining brilliantly through the shadows that the boy’s bangs created. His hand unconsciously grabbed his feather necklace again from the emotional pain that began again. Sage felt as if his heart was ripping in two as he gazed down for a moment at the ring on his finger. He had kept the wedding ring for all this time. When he looked back up to his former angel, he frowned deeply from the difference now than that of his precious memories. Michael was no longer the same. For the first time in a long time, a tear rolled down the boy’s cheek. His expression held a look that seemed worse than that of mourning.

“Michael…I…I can’t live without you…I still love you…”

The angel's dark sword slammed into the ground a split second after the boy moved. He stared at the spot where his sword had landed for a moment unfortunately not seeing what he desired to see. He was seeing nothing but an empty space where the boy's bleeding body should have been. He should have pierced through his enemy's body.

Obviously he had missed and it only seemed to agrivate the fallen angel more then he was already. It was obvious this was no ordinary human. He had speed and agility. He had dodged the Angel's death blow. Michael slowly lifted his head and turned it towards Sage. His feathers were puffed up with anger. How had he missed! Then came the boy's whimpered words and the angel's eyes widened slightly. He loved Michael? No... no... he still loved Michael. Thats what he said. Still? Did he love Michael before then? Confussion took over Michael's features and his frown deepened. What was going on? Who was this boy?

Michael lifted his sword and pointed it at Sage.
"Who are you and what do you want? "
Michael's words came out in a hiss. This boy's voice had been haunting the angel for a long time. Michael slowly turned his body towards the boy. He wanted to know now. Right this minute. He wanted to know what was going on and why this boy was haunting him.
"Why do you keep speaking to me? "
He asked in a huff then with a loud snap just as the lightning flashed in the dark mall Michael's black wings spread up to the sky creating the image he intended. One of strength and power.

Michael was a warrior. A deadly foe. A killer and that was what he always wanted to be. Strong. He didn't love? He didn't know the meaning of the word. He knew what obsession was. He knew what possession was. It was what he was feeling for Jack and what he was to Jack. A possession. He didn't mind. He just wanted Jack to be the same to him. HIS possesion and once he found this Tanner Grimley that everyone was whispering about, the one that Jack wanted to own, Michael would kill him.

Emerald eyes stared at the spot where they were just a moment prior. Sage watched as the sword slammed into the spot where he had just been standing. Michael really wanted to kill him? The boy gave a pained frown. He could see Michael’s frown at his words and wondered if there was hope. He was hopeful until the sword was pointed in his direction and the dark angel demanded who he was and what he wanted from him. Sage’s heart sank to a level where it was painful again. The pain in his heart was so bad that he found himself unconsciously clinging to his shirt near his chest.

“You…don’t remember who I am? It’s me…Sage…”

He spoke with a voice so quiet it could almost not be heard. The single tear that had rolled down his cheek fell victim to gravity and splashed lightly on the cold ground. Why was this happening to him? He had finally found Michael again, but he didn’t even know who he was? Another tear rolled down his cheek and he forced a smile and approached the former angel with his nearly healed ankle. Sage lightly caressed his face as his tears continued to fall against his will. Michael was trying to intimidate him with his warrior-like exterior, but he was not afraid. He would never be afraid of the one he loved. He would never fear him again. He did on the night that he fell, but he would never allow it again.

“Michael…I’ve missed you…you may not remember me…but…I’ve never forgotten you…not for a second…”

Without a fear in the world, he rested his head against Michael’s chest. If Michael hurt him for the closeness, then so be it. He was with him again, and that was all that mattered.

Michael frowned when he heard what Sage said. He didn't remember a Sage. Michael's frown deepened slightly and his hand loosened some of its grip on the sword. The voice was quiet. Gentle. Michael wondered why he didn't remember. Did he want to remember? Was he avoiding it for some reason? His lips parted slightly as he frowned at Sage. The tears made something in Michael tear. The gripping of Sage's hand at his chest. Something inside burried deeper then Michael cared to venture seemed to break inside the fallen angel and he winced at the pain it seemed to bring along with it.

Michael swallowed hard when he saw another tear roll across the boy's cheek to hit the ground. Sage approached him and Michael watches as he rounded the sword to caress his cheek. Michael winced at the tender touch. Tenderness made him hurt now. Pain made for a pleasurable experience. He had been taught to like pain and to like giving it to others. His heart ached when he felt Sage's head rest against his chest and he gritted his teeth and tensed up completely.
"Get away from me..."
He finally hissed the aching in his whole body making it hard for him to move. He couldn't find the strength to push the boy away from him.

What was wrong with him? The shadowed sword vanished in a blink of an eye and nothing was there to replace his empty hands. His head locked on the front entrance as the rain peletted down over the mall. Then he eyes drifted closed and he felt a warmth spread across a part of his wings. A few black feathers broke free and fell to the ground.
"... Sage..."
He whispered softly his hands tightening into fists as he was fighting against himself right where he stood.

Sage frowned as he felt Michael tense from his touch. The hiss and order to get away tore at his heart like a hot knife. However, the boy refused to move. He would not leave this opportunity that he had been waiting for for so long. He was surprised to see the blade disappear from the angel’s hand. Was this working? The boy’s dark green eyes widened in surprise from spotting the falling black feathers float towards the ground. Sage’s heart nearly stopped at hearing Michael say his name. The way he said it….it was almost like how he used to say it. His head shot up to look at the angel as the hope that formed within him caused his eyes to glow brighter.

“Michael…”

He could see the angel’s clenched fists and faintly realized that there was some kind of internal battle going on within him. There was hope! There just had to be. Sage tightly embraced him and cried into the angel’s chest and whispered longingly.

“…I’ve missed you so much Michael…it hurts more than anything to not have you by my side anymore…Michael…I want to be with you…I’ll do anything…”

After a few moments of holding him the way he had wanted to for the longest time, the boy lifted his head back up to Michael’s and leaned closer. Soon, he was only a millimeter away from the angel’s face. Sage’s lips were nearly touching his. He had been waiting for this moment for so long…would it turn out the way he wanted? Or would this go horribly wrong?

Michael didn’t understand why he couldn’t kill the boy. It had been simple. He could have summoned his weapon and slashed into Sage. It would have been so easy. One little thrust into the boy’s body and he would have been dead. But there was a part of him that knew this boy. A part of him long buried that loved this boy. That felt for this boy and wanted this boy. Wanted to protect him and love him …. again. Again? Had he then before? Had he loved this boy? Demons didn’t love. Then again he had heard the rumours. He was the arch angel Michael and he was one of Gods most beloved. It was a boy… Michael frowned and dropped his eyes to Sage as he began clinging to him.

This boy. It was this exact boy that had made him fall. Bright glowing green eyes. Beautiful full lips. Soft skin. Michael slowly lifted a hand and held it close to Sage’s cheek too frightened to touch him in case he broke or worse! Turned black like the demons that he now called companions. He leaned in as Sage did the same closing his blue eyes before his lips captured Sage’s in a fierce hungry kiss. Something about the boy awakened in him a want. A need. A desire to be closer to him then they already was. Michael’s hands moved down to cup Sage’s buttcheeks scooping him up against himself and picking him up.

Michael lowered himself to his knees and slowly lay Sage on his back like he had done so many many times with Jack. He almost wanted to tear Sage to bits on instinct because that’s what Jack liked but somehow he doubted that Sage would be the same. He slowly slipped his hand between Sage’s legs and started to stroke at his member slowly and lightly being careful not to hurt Sage. His kisses trailed to Sage’s neck and down into the crook of his neck where he bit down into Sage’s skin.

Sage continued to hold Michael tightly. He had wanted to hold him for so long now, that he refused to give him up for a second. Not now…he was relieved that Michael had not yet attempted to kill him. That was surely a good sign. He watched curiously as the fallen angel’s hand drifted close to his face, but did not touch. He was afraid? Sage kept his face at that close proximity to his and waited for some kind of response.

He was extremely surprised when Michael suddenly kissed him hungrily. He quickly and eagerly kissed him back with all the love he could offer. It was as if his heart was a nearly burnt out fire that was relit again with an amazing spark. The boy gasped slightly as he was lifted up by Michael’s hands from behind, but he assisted by pulling himself closer to him. Tears of joy fell down his face. He had wanted this for longer than he could remember. His arms wrapped desperately around Michael’s neck to deepen the kiss as he felt himself being lowered to the ground. Sage looked up at Michael in amazement and did not even care about the storm thundering outside or the cold ground against his back. None of it mattered; only Michael…

Sage slowly let go of the angel and laid flat on the ground as he simply stared at him longingly and breathed a bit heavier than before after the heated kiss. The boy’s emerald eyes watched as Michael’s hand gently stroked his member. He could feel the lower extremity begin to harden underneath his pants from the touch, and he bit his lip in pleasure as his hands clenched at the ground. A shiver came over him when Michael’s kisses migrated to his neck and the bite caused Sage to closes his eyes and release a quiet moan. The boy muttered out Michael’s name desperately.

“Michael…”

Sage reached his hand up and trailed his fingers along the fallen angel’s chest. His eyes held lust and longing that was not seen in him since the day the angel fell.

“…I want you…I want you so bad, Michael…”
